Don't Mix Types of Light

Sunlight is blue. Most indoor light is orange or yellow.

This why you usually don't want to mix them. If you set your white balance to make sunlight look normal, then indoor light falling on your subject will be very orange. And vice versa.

The best thing to do is use one type of light only. If you must have both in the image, then consider using colored gels on your light to change their color temperatures. In other words, make indoor light look more blue, or more outdoor light look more orange.

If you decide you want to intentionally break the rules, go ahead and mix them together. You could end up with some strange looks, so move forward with caution. :-)
